• Before the wall of art. Actually, this is the wall in front of my house. The drawing and graffiti on the wall was created by our children.

• A picture with my programming students. We were going to a local software house expose. (End of November 2004)
• At home - backwall - November 2004. Not a great mug-shot picture, but hey ... I am at home.
• In geek mode. One morning day in November 2004. I usually don't use headphones and just blast the sound through the speakers. But at that time my computer (now shown on the right side) was being used by my son (who took the picture), so I had to use my wife's computer which doesn't have nice speakers.
• BCP in Bandung. Myself and Ary Akhmad Arman during Business Continuity Planning (BCP) workshop at Preanger Hotel, Bandung, September 2004. And here is a picture during closing session. Left to right: Dimitri Mahayana, Ary Akhmad Arman, Agus Ngermanto, Budi Rahardjo.
• I was listed as one of the maestro in his field by Swa Magazine (15 September 2004). Wow! Here is the page scanned from the magazine.
• July 2004. Nice Band. (a bigger version, 500k. Photo by Dikshie.) Me playing keyboard at NICE 2004. Garin on Guitar, Andika on Bass, and Yulianus on Drums. We didn't have a chance to practice. We just jumped on stage and start playing Queen's Love of My Life. Of course, we were bad [in it's purest meaning].
• May 2004. At Hotel Padma, Kuta, Bali. Behind me is an art by Nyoman Nuarta. I will write a trip report ASAP. A larger image is available here.

• A picture with Warren Adams in front of PAU Building, Institut Teknologi Bandung. 17 March 2004. Warren stated PlanetAll (contact management) and was bought by Amazon.com. (The bigger and original picture is here)

• In mid 2004, my family decided to go for umroh and tour around Europe (Germany, Netherland, France, Switzerland). That was our first trip to Europe. Here's a list of snapshots we took during the journey. We only brought a cheap camera. So, the quality is not that great.
• Riding Camel in Saudi Arabia. Here's another picture. The whole family.
• Ready for Umroh? I am ready for umroh. Here's Tika and Luqman, and Luqman with his mom. We were actually tired from a long journey (from Bandung to Jakarta, to Middle East), but we werre excited. That was what we're going there for.
• After umroh, we took a city tour. Here's a picture in front of the hotel before going out. Here's another family picture. Then we rode on a bus. The first fist was to Jabal Noor. It was interesting in that the information was also available in Bahasa Indonesia. Perhaps, that's because there are many Indonesians go there? Look at the board behind us. Here's another shot.
• Next stop was Jabal Rahmah(?) in Arafah. There was a story about it, but I don't recall.
• Even in Mecca, they have Indonesian food! Here's a picture of Bakso restaurant right beside Masjidil Haram.
• There are several gates to Masjidil Haram. Some actually people got lost trying to find the gate they came from. Here's one of them. Taken early morning. Here's a picture of me, far from the gate.
• Breakfast in the hotel was great. It was Indonesian food. Actually, we would like to try local food.
• Our next visit was to Madinah. We stayed at Madinah Sheraton. Here's a picture of me and my daughter (behind is a snapshot of Madinah Hilton).
• Now, we are ready to go to Europe. Here, we're waiting at the Bahrain airport.
• Europe ... here we come.
• Finally, arrived at Frankfurt. Now we took a bus and drove straight to Koln.

• Resting, somewhere in Europe.
• Budi, Engleberg, Switzerland. And here is Luqman at the same place.
• Atika's riding gondola in Switzerland. And here is both Atika and Luqman.
• Luqman and Mom outside at Mount Titlis, Swiss. It was cold outside. Here's Atika, Adek, Me, family (minus-me), family (minus Adek). Then we had lunch.

2003 in Indonesia

• July 2003. A trip to Medan and Lake Toba , North Sumatera.
• 28 April 2003. Dinner of Calindo (Canada Alumni in Indonesia:  Indonesians who studied at Canadian universities). [picture1, here you can see Satria] [picture2, here you can see Ken dan pak Tommy from the Embassy]. The pictures are too dark, but you can adjust the colors yourself.
• 5 Januari 2003. Reuni kawan main SMA 1 Bandung di rumah Ahmad Ramli: duduk bersama, potong tumpeng (gambar1) (gambar2)

2002 outside Indonesia

• Budi and Andika in Japan. (A larger file is here.) This was in Shinjuku after APSIRC meeting, 26 March 2002. We were representing ID-CERT.
• Here is a picture during dinner, enjoying cultural presentation by JPCERT (25 March 2002).
• Here is a picture on a subway in Japan, with delegation from Malaysia after the party is over. Picture was taken by Richard Susilo.

2002 in Indonesia

• At Bandung's Husein Sastranegara Airport with Martin Crow and Ken Ferens (who was about to go back to Canada)

• INDOCISC Hands-on Network Security Training.
  Tired after installing computer before training security @ INDOCISC.com in Jakarta. The other members were also having quick dinner. 29 April 2002.
  The next day (30 April 2002), after giving presentation, the guys were playing Counter Strike. The places was turned into loud game room.
  Day two of the training, Andika was giving a presentation. Trainees were listening (or perhaps hacking?). Here is a different view from the front class. You'll see the intructor's workstation was being attacked by the notebook on the right.

• I teach a {network, computer, information} security class (Master's degree level: EL 695) at ITB. Here is a raw picture of my students (Indosat group). Here is another shot just in case you don't like the other shot. The pictures (taken 2 May 2002) are big and need some touching up. Will do that when I have a spare time.

2000 outside Indonesia
In December 2000, I made a trip to Silicon Valley (San Francisco to San Jose). Here is a list of snapshots taken during this trip.

• A picture of me in front of William F. Durand building in Stanford University and in front of Bill Gates building (computer science)
• During the trip I visited several companies, such as Mediadome.com, Palm.com. Here is a picture of Jay Diamond (CEO of Mediadome.com) in his office and a picture of Dave Blight (left) and Bob McLeod (right) at Dave's office in Palm.com. Jay Diamond and Dave Blight were my classmates in EE Dept., U of Manitoba, Canada. Prof. Bob McLeod was our supervisor.
• Here is a picture of me, Jay, and Bob at Digital Moose Lounge or was it at Next Level 2 Seminar?
• We had a UofM dinner: Bob McLeod, Jay Diamond, Roger Ng, Ralph Lohse, Armein Langi, and myself. Waiting for food 1 and 2, and in front of the restaurant (Buga di Beppo?) in Palo Alto, CA.
• Before leaving San Francisco back to Indonesia, I had a dinner with Armein Langi and Chandra Liem.

1997 - 2000 in Indonesia

• RUSNAS presentation in front of pak Iman Sudarwo (KMNRT, Jakarta). Here is a picture of Aldo and Bayu demonstrating Wireless LAN PCMCIA that we developed. Look ma, no UTP cable. A picture of the team at 6 AM ready to go to Jakarta from Bandung. Two cars packed with people.
• A picture of me wondering in a seminar. I forgot which seminar it was.  (A bigger, raw version) [2000]
• A picture of my house in Bandung. A friend from Canada came to visit us. We took the picture in front of our house. Here's a bigger version of the picture. [2000]
• A picture of my office. I have several offices in Bandung and Jakarta. This is a picture of my main office at PPAU Microelectronics, ITB, Bandung. [2000]
• A picture with a friend,  Jay Diamond (was the CEO of Mediadome.com), at the crater of Tangkuban Perahu. It's a live crater. We went down to see the crater. On the way up we decided to take a "shortcut". We ended up lost in the jungle for an hour or so. Good thing we found the way up. (Here's a bigger picture.) [end of 1997]
• Jay Diamond also visited PPAU Mikroelektronika and gave a speech on Intel and Mediadome. Here is a picture in front of PPAU ME building in ITB. [end of 1997]. Jay also gave a presentation in Jakarta. Here's a picture of him and a banner announcing his presentation.

1990s in Canada

• A friend of mine, recently (2005) visited TRLabs in Winnipeg, Canada. He found that my name in their wall of fame. Here's the picture of the wall with my name (top right).
• Family picture at King's Park, Winnipeg. (big picture) The water in the background is unusual. There was a big flood that was almost drown the whole city of Winnipeg. Fortunately with the effort of all people the water was diverted. This picture was taken after the math. Look at those sand bags in this picture. King's park is 10 minutes walk from our apartement. 1997.
• Graduation. A picture with family after receiving my PhD. University of Manitoba, 1996.
• Going on a picnic with family. This is somewhere outside Winnipeg but still in Manitoba. Yes, that's our family car. Look at the straight line and blue sky! My wife took the picture. Good shot.
• Luqman cried in front of a pile of snow. That pile of snow was actually in front of our duplex.

The end of 1980 (between 1987-1989)

• Visited friends in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. From left to right: Fahren (IPB), Budi (ITB), Yugo (UI). They were studying in Kingston, while I was studying in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
• At UofM: here is a picture of me in winter, in front of Administration building University of Manitoba, between Eng. building and student center. Look at the snow. Yeah, it's Winnipeg alright!. I think it was in 1987, when I was doing my masters.
• As a tourist in San Francisco, California, in front of Golden Gate bridge 1987.

Early 1980s in Indonesia

• In Borobudur, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. A picture with my wife, during university study tour. We were in the same class. At that time we were still dating.
